Backports #1152 to the 8.x release line so affected applications can receive the iOS crash fix without upgrading to the React Native 0.86+ baseline required by 9.0.
Clear authorization and logout sessions that complete synchronously, and stop forwarding redirects after a session consumes one. Includes the patch changeset for 8.5.1 and native session regression coverage. The 8.x framework and platform requirements are unchanged.
Validation:
Merge into
release/8.x. Its release workflow will create a separate Version Packages PR for 8.5.1 and publish underlatest-8when that version PR is merged. Live-provider and physical-device validation were not performed for this backport.
