What

  • New page /docs/self-hosting/platforms/render, under a new Platforms group in the Self-hosting sidebar. Each future provider is one more file in self-hosting/platforms/.
  • The page leads with a Deploy to Render button styled like the rest of the docs (Render mark, label, arrow) instead of Render's stock purple image.
  • What the blueprint sets up (instance, disk, plan, health check, TLS) is a compact spec box (.spec-list, reusable on other provider pages); setup is the openssl command plus three short steps.
  • The Deploy page keeps Docker Compose, the generic platform checklist and the reverse proxy, and links to the platform pages. The overview's next steps link to Render.
  • Render's mark is added to brand-marks.ts and renders white on the dark theme rather than taking the sidebar row's tint.

The old /docs/self-hosting/deploy#render anchor is gone; that page links to the new one.

Verified

Rendered both pages on the landing dev server and checked them in headless Chrome: button, spec box, sidebar group and logo colour in active and inactive rows. Hover state not checked.

Devin Review

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Added a Render deployment guide with setup instructions, configuration details, and steps for signing in and connecting apps.
    • Added a Render brand mark and updated the documentation icon to appear for the Platforms section.
  • Documentation

    • Added a Platforms group to the self-hosting documentation.
    • Updated the self-hosting pages to link to the Render guide and removed Render-specific deployment steps from the general Deploy page.

The Render steps move off the Deploy page into
/docs/self-hosting/platforms/render, under a new Platforms group in the
Self-hosting sidebar. The page leads with a Deploy to Render button in
the docs' own style, lists what the blueprint sets up in a spec box, and
keeps the setup to three short steps.

Render's mark is added to the brand marks and shows white on the dark
theme instead of taking the row's tint.

Maple review

🟢 Confidence 10/10 · safe to merge
Landing-only docs content and scoped CSS; the white render hex is checked against both consumers and no light surface paints it.
no findings · tests not needed · risk low

Adds a Render self-hosting page under a new Platforms docs group, with a styled deploy button and spec list, plus Render's mark in the shared brand table. Landing content and CSS only; safe to merge.

  • SECTIONS puts a new Platforms group inside the self-hosting section
  • BRAND_MARKS.render carries #FFFFFF so markColor returns white, not currentColor
  • New .docs-content .deploy-button and .spec-list rules style the platform page
What was checked
  • White mark stays visible where it paints: BrandMarkIcon inline colour and docs-og.ts:85's mark tile on a dark ground
  • .docs-content a (global.css:1192) loses to .docs-content .deploy-button, so the button keeps no-underline and text-fg
  • Platforms ranks within the self-hosting section via groupRank, and isDocGroup gives it a group glyph
