@fuzzy76 Haha 😄 The Linux app currently in development is written in Rust and uses libadwaita for UI blocks. It's very fast and has a native GNOME look and feel 😁
@daniele-solutiontech The Linux port backend is in Rust too. For the UI I went with GTK4 + libadwaita, the goal is to stay truly native on Linux (same philosophy as AppKit/SwiftUI on macOS). GPUI is cool but it's more of a custom-rendered toolkit, doesn't give that native feel.
Is there any news on the development? I'm really interested in trying it out, even in beta; unfortunately, the GUI experience for databases on Linux has always been terrible.
@sedax90 currently there are no roadmap for linux. The repo have a linux branch, you can checkout to that branch then run locally if you want to see a development progress here.
@sedax90 I also use linux and I try to work on linux branch independently for few months already since i am database engineer and linux is infra. If you are interested please take a look at https://github.com/cozyGarage/BookiE and check out from linux branch

I think there is still too much work to be done.
I'm currently doing some Linux PR for the https://github.com/t8y2/dbx project which I'm really enjoying. If Linux support is considered part of the TablePro project, I might be able to help contribute here too.
Thanks, really appreciate it! I'll reach out once I have a build ready for testing, feel free to join our TablePro Discord so we can chat more easily https://discord.com/invite/hCNmUUbnD4

That's not how it works, SwiftUI does not exist for Linux. Being operating system specific is what "native" usually means.

@harrytran998 soon 👀

I seem to stand corrected 👀

So it's a completely separate app :)

@datlechin What about using Zed GPUI for UI rendering using rust?

I'd like to take the ClickHouse Linux driver next (official `clickhouse` Rust crate, static registration per ADR 0001 / `docs/adding-drivers.md`).
Working from the `linux` branch. First docs PR is up at #1978. Happy to coordinate if someone else already started on ClickHouse.

Hey everyone, quick update on Linux support!
I'm planning to merge the Linux branch into main, then work on the release process. This will probably take another 1–2 weeks.
After that, TablePro should finally be available to install on Linux. Thanks for your patience!

@datlechin If you want support for testing I'm available
