Sets the Python cells of both AAD v0x03 rows in sdk-feature-matrix.md back to ✅, with the version floor 0.23.0+.

From cachekit 0.23.0 the AAD cache_key is the logical backend key, so a prefixing backend's key prefix is bound (cachekit-py#518). The Compliance Status cell also listed cachekit-py#517 and cachekit-py#521 as unreleased. Both ship in 0.23.0, so the cell keeps the earlier releases' gaps as history and stops saying "unreleased". The Encryption note now cites the release instead of main.

Verification (2026-10-19, per decisions/matrix-version-verification.md)

  • Registry: cachekit 0.23.0 published 2026-10-18 and 0.24.0 on 2026-10-19. The merge commits of #517, #518 and #521 are ancestors of tag v0.23.0.
  • Wheel: in cachekit-0.23.0-cp314-cp314-manylinux_2_17_x86_64.manylinux2014_x86_64.whl (sha256 matches PyPI), cachekit/cache_handler.py passes self._aad_key(cache_key) to serializer.serialize and serializer.deserialize.
  • Executed tests: tests/critical/test_aad_backend_key_prefix.py, tests/unit/test_decrypt_fail_policy.py and tests/unit/test_encryption_security_invariants.py from tag v0.23.0, run with the published wheel imported (not src/): 111 passed on 0.23.0 and 111 passed on 0.24.0. As a negative control, the key-prefix file fails 8 of 11 against 0.22.0.
  • tools/check-version-floors.py (with its mutation suite), tools/check-spec-duplication.py and tools/test_changelog_collect.py pass.

Adds changelog.d/20261019_lab-8211.md.

Closes LAB-8211

…achekit 0.23.0

Sets the Python AAD v0x03 cells to a 0.23.0+ floor. The post-decryption container fixes that the Compliance Status cell also listed as unreleased ship in the same release; the Encryption note now cites the release instead of main. Verified against the published 0.23.0 and 0.24.0 wheels.

Review in Change Stack →

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the release notes and feature matrix to show Python support for AAD v0x03 cache-key binding from cachekit 0.23.0, including configured key prefixes.
    • Clarified that releases through 0.22.0 omitted prefixes from the bound key, and documented earlier encrypted-read compliance issues and the related release history.
    • Recorded verification against the 0.23.0 and 0.24.0 wheels; key-prefix tests fail on 0.22.0.

Walkthrough

The changelog and SDK feature matrix now document Python AAD v0x03 cache-key binding and compliance from cachekit 0.23.0, with details about earlier release-specific gaps and fixes.

Clarify the release sentence.

The sentence about the post-decryption container fixes is ungrammatical and obscures which fixes shipped. State that the fixes in cachekit-py#517 and cachekit-py#521 were previously marked unreleased and shipped in 0.23.0.
