Adds a local Mobile Dev MCP Apps preview for VS Code with GitHub Copilot on Apple Silicon Macs. Generated user configuration and a relocatable bundle launch the existing server without Codex. The workspace runs inline; question actions prepare the composer and explicitly ask the user to press Send. Screenshots and annotations remain selected until cleared.

The explicit VS Code profile accommodates hosts that implement message/context methods while omitting their text capability flags. Other hosts retain their capability checks. Includes shared compatibility commit a6aae70, also present in the separate Cursor branch, so either PR can merge first without depending on the Claude branch.

Validation:

  • Full regression suite: 809 passed, 1 skipped on Node 24.0.1 with NODE_OPTIONS=--disable-warning=ExperimentalWarning. An earlier native-helper relocation check failed during the full run; it passed both in isolation and on the full rerun without code changes.
  • 109 focused UI/bridge tests passed, including a real SDK App/AppBridge test for missing text flags, context retention, rejection and explicit clearing.
  • Development build, configuration generation, packaging, relocated archive smoke checks and MCP tool-budget check passed.
  • Existing stream/input/context telemetry is preserved. Dedicated prepared-message counters distinguish composer preparation from submission; acknowledgment timing keeps its existing meaning.

Draft until live VS Code rendering, composer behavior, simulator input, Android H.264 and physical-iOS HEVC have been checked. Automated package tests do not boot devices. Setup and manual validation steps are in docs/vscode.md. This is an MCP bundle, not a VSIX; no public release is included.

Closing; we'll restart this from scratch after the Claude Desktop cleanup in #34.
