+The author appears to believe that I am not permitted to distribute the project under a dual-license model. However, the original code remains licensed under the MIT License, as specified in the repository's LICENSE file. Any code that I have authored is additionally licensed under GPLv3.

That notice is not part of the source code license and there is no requirement under the MIT License to preserve it within the application's UI. Any original copyright notices in the source code and license files remain intact.
