This pull request introduces significant improvements to AMD GPU load detection and adds a new "Steam OS" theme. The main focus is on making GPU utilization reporting for AMD GPUs on Linux more robust and accurate, especially when optional Python bindings are not available. The changes include a new GPU load sampler based on Linux DRM fdinfo counters, enhanced fallback logic in the AMD GPU sensor, and comprehensive tests for the new logic. Additionally, a new theme is introduced and set as the default.
AMD GPU load detection improvements:
DrmFdinfoSampleringpu_fdinfo.pyto read AMD GPU activity from Linux DRM fdinfo counters, enabling accurate GPU load measurement even when pyamdgpuinfo or pyadl are unavailable.GpuAmdinsensors_python.pyto use a multi-tiered fallback for GPU load: first sysfs, then pyamdgpuinfo, then DRM fdinfo, and finally pyadl; now returns more accurate and robust stats.GpuAmd.is_available()to detect AMD GPUs even without optional bindings and to warm up the fdinfo sampler when sysfs load is unavailable.Testing:
