so what for the the 3.X version ? there is no 11.X yet
The aspnet team is planning to integrate version 3.X with the aspnet version 11.X. I can't comment on the exact timelines though. But there are multiple issues tracking that you might want to subscribe to:

the documentation v3 does not say when to use v3, it only says to remain in v1 or v2

If AspNetCore OpenAPI < 10.0 then you must remain on version 1.x as it's not compatible with version 3 or above of this library.
If AspNetCore OpenAPI = 10.0 then you must remain on version 2.x as it's not compatible with version 3 or above of this library.
actually AspNetCore OpenAPI == 10.0.1 what should I use???
