Bundle fast-forward-phpdoc-bootstrap-template under resources/skills so application agents can configure guide homepages, generate APIs, verify assets and use an existing DevTools reports workflow. Keep the specialized phpdocumentor-template type, declare optional Composer skill discovery, suggest llm/skills and link installation/lifecycle guidance from README and the root AGENTS contract.

The consumer package includes a complete phpdoc.xml, separate same-named Example class, nested reStructuredText guides and a rendered-output verifier. CI exercises the example from both checkout and release archive. Its supported contract is template ^2.1.1, PHP ^8.3 and phpDocumentor shim ^3.9.

Validation:

  • Official skills-ref 0.1.0 at agentskills/agentskills@69ef37e validates the exact package.
  • Strict Composer validation and committed Changelog contribution checks pass.
  • php tests/generate-fixture.php and php tests/verify-consumer-skill.php pass against checkout and Git archive with phpDocumentor 3.10.0 / PHP 8.5.11.
  • The consumer verifier also passes on PHP 8.3.35 in a disposable CLI container.
  • A disposable Composer consumer with llm/skills 1.15.0 copies all nine package files through the narrow installed-donor allowlist; every byte matches. Guarded project and isolated-global manual copies also match and refuse existing destinations.

The exact candidate source is labelled 2.1.1 only inside disposable path-repository fixtures; this does not claim that the already-published release includes the new skill. No tag/release, global host installation, native discovery or agent activation is performed. No merge is performed.

Additional lifecycle checks: automatic synchronization with --no-scripts, explicit update, auto-sync:false, installed-plugin suppression with --no-plugins, same-path overwrite, extra/unrelated-file retention and donor/plugin removal were exercised in disposable consumers. Guarded project and isolated-global copies refuse existing targets; update backup and rollback were tested. The pinned Skills CLI project add/list route works, but its removal can leave the canonical .agents/skills copy; the installation guide now documents that observed limitation. Final archive/installed/manager copies match the finished payload byte for byte.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~20 minutes

Change: Feature

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to ee23f

The bundled example verifier crashes with an uncaught error instead of a clear message when a generated artifact is unreadable. The impact is narrow and easy to fix, so the change is mergeable with a small follow-up.
